Kids Can Do Anything©
"The ultimate aim of all human action is happiness" Aristotle
The Lessons in Happiness Each child participating in the program will attend a short (approximately 1-hour) seminar, where we will discuss the following very important topics. The Worlds Most Powerful Words The very first topic of discussion is about how creating in ourselves a habit of using these words with feeling and meaning as often as possible, can set us on the path to not only creating a wonderful life for ourselves, but also how these words can effect the lives of those around us and make the world a much happier place. These words, when used with sincerity, bring on positive emotion unlike any other words. These words promote a feeling of responsibility for making ourselves and others feel good, and a responsibility for our own actions and behaviors. Thinking and Feeling Happy Choices to Think and Feel About What do I really want my life to be like? Taking Action

Note: The Home Edition will include a one hour audio CD of the program
ThankYou You are Welcome I am Sorry I Forgive You
Why am I here?
Here we explain the reality that the world as we know it would not be the same without them in it. Each of us are born to bring to this world something only we can bring, ourselves! that we are all capable of being, having and doing anything we choose. Examples are given of people who have overcome insurmountable odds and achieved incredible success, and people who followed their passion and achieved great things. Each child is no different from any of these examples. We face the reality that no one is a “better” person than anyone else is.
We will discuss the importance of being able to access “happy” by thinking happy thoughts and that being happy can create possibilities for anything. We ask, “What really makes you happy?” in order to distinguish between real or “core” happiness from material or “surface” happiness. For example, a child may be very happy they received a new bicycle for their birthday, but a few weeks later that level of happiness when they think about their bicycle decreases, then as they age, other material possessions, like their first car, might take precedence. Where as “core” happiness would be the feeling inside they get from the thought of bike riding with their family or how proud they are that they just helped someone in need, and was praised for their actions, or a particular achievement that they were very proud of. Happy thoughts that remain in your unconscious mind for a lifetime are “core” happy thoughts, and when those thoughts are brought into consciousness, the real happy feeling returns. We discuss the reality that we will be far happier in our own lives when we strive to help those around us achieve happiness.
Every day we face hundreds of choices. Some small, some big, and the consequence’s of these choices will result in one of two outcomes, either what we want or what we do not want. Kids are taught a simple strategy to help them make the right choices based upon the how the consequence will make them feel, or how that choice will effect someone else, and will it bring them closer to achieving their personal goals.
Thoughts Create Feelings
Thoughts, like being thankful, make us feel happy, and so happy things seem more likely to happen. Thoughts, like revenge, make us feel unhappy, now happy things seem more likely to happen. Why do we sometimes think not so happy thoughts about ourselves, and why we believe those thoughts to be true, and how can we change that way of thinking? We talk about an easy way to “shift” our thoughts from bad to good whether those thoughts are about ourselves, about something happening around us, or someone in our life.
This is a fun part! Learning to use our powerful imaginations to visualize ourselves achieving something or becoming someone we want to become, and that vision seems so real it brings on a huge smile, and can actually help in the achievement of that vision.
Writing down our goals. Why this really works!
Here we talk about the real studies done to prove that when you write down and review your goals, you are far more likely to achieve them. Not having goals is like taking the handlebars of your bike, and expecting to get to where you want to go. Using your "Amazing Me" list will help a great deal in setting realistic goals.
Mistakes are Not Failures, and Failures are Not Mistakes
Mistakes and failures are a part of the learning process. We all experience making mistakes and failures, in fact, we likely experience more failures than success’, but inside every mistake or failure is a “stepping stone” to achievement. To learn from our mistakes and failures builds the strength we need to pursue our dreams. “It is better to fail trying, than to have not tried at all” A failure occurs when we miss the learning opportunity in a mistake, and give up all together. After making a mistake, we have the ability to learn something from it, put it in the past where it belongs, and move on to bigger and better things.
This were the “rubber meets the road” When we focus our attention, and visualize what we want to accomplish, and we know we are capable of accomplishing it, then write and review that goal, we start to receive inspired thoughts about the action to take to lead us closer to our goal. When that “inspired” thought arrives, we ACT ON IT! Not taking action is like not having peddles on your bike and expecting to move forward. Taking action is what separates the dreamers from the achievers.
